Experience:

Early in my accounting career, I was asked to help establish a new office location for the regional accounting firm I was working with. The focus of this office was to assist in creating estate plans based on new tax law. For several years, we worked with nationally known attorneys designing estate plans to save income and estate taxes.

Later, I worked for one of these attorneys instituting estate plans, preparing income, estate and gift tax returns, as well as assisting with the probate process.

Given this experience, a family member asked if I would be her power of attorney and trustee. Several years later, her planning became reality, and I supported her medical, financial and personal affairs, then eventually administered her estate and trust.

In subsequent roles with CPA firms, I sought to support clients through similar situations, but the opportunities were few. After working almost 30 years in the industry, I am focusing on these services by starting The Financial Caretaker, LLC. In support of this work, I am currently the Treasurer of the Boulder County Estate Planning Council and a member the Colorado Society of CPA's.

Approach:

I strive to provide accurate and efficient accounting and tax services in a digital environment. In addition to offering high quality service, I pride myself in being responsive, dedicated and working with integrity. The connections and relationships I build with clients are an integral part of my work life.

Personal Life:

During my free time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, reading, traveling, baking and spending time with my family.
